Where has the time gone .....

Can you believe it is 28th February, only 2 days of the month to go and 2 days of LOAD 212 to go also.  I am still getting photos uploaded but they are on the lounge room computer and when I update my blog I'm in my bed, lol.  Once again having trouble sleeping so I hope that I can spend sometime here it may help me clear my head and get some sleep.

LOAD27 is on Animal Magnetism  so I have a couple of fun photos with my girlfriend Angela (from primary school) and I wrestling with Heidi to keep her in the picture so I think that's the way to go.  Just need to remember which box of photos they're in as I have moved them around. Who's been a clever girl?  I wonder?

The last 10 pages I think that I have done for LOAD 212 I have used Scrapbook Factory and computer program I am hoping tomorrow to get them printed so I can put them on 12 x 12 pages and feel I have finished them off.  It has been an interesting way to do my scrapbooking which I had not done this way before I started with the Scrap Happy Family but I have found it fun, especially if I'm anxious and stressed.
I have also noticed that I have losted myself a little bit while doing these pages as in time, enjoyment and working things out that I then realise I only have about 30 minutes left to get the page uploaded, so that's a big panic. But knowing I've just made it has been a sigh of relief.
Well that's it for now will and some more collages of my pages soon.  Hope to catch up soon.  Thanks for stopping bye. Deborah.

The Day I Got MESSY...

LOAD 6  Little Girls dreams....
Well boy did I loss the plot on this day,  I had papers and photos all over the lounge room all I can say is I'm glad I was the only person home to see it, LOL.  It just seemed to snowball.  But I have to admit I do like my double spread layout.
I always wanted to look after children by being a Kindergarten Teacher or a Mother Craft Nurse.  Unfortunantely I didn't success in finishing High School so I become a Group Leader in 1974 and looked after children in child minding centres in Yarraville and the West Melton.   Theses photos are of some of the children I looked after at each of the different centres. Here is the photo of the two pages:

Where do I Start.....

I think the best thing I can do to catch up is just add my photos and what I have done on my journaling.  I must say that it is fun doing the pages but it has been harder to look at the storytelling part especially when it is about yourself.

LOAD5 My Big Brother Lee has My Back.
This layout is of the two of us and our only professional we of each other.  Lee is about 5 and half years old and I was about 18months. I was just starting to sit up by myself but just so I didn't fall over Lee had his hand on my back to keep me steady.

Even as we got older and now he still has my back through the good and bad times.  He is always there. He is the best Brother a little Sister could ever want and I love him lots.

Here comes another one

This was going to be a big one for me emotionally.  I know exactly what photos I need to do and I knew what my journaling was going to be about.  So when Sherry asked June and I over for a Scrapbooking night I knew I could do this one with their support, thank goodness.

LOAD4 The more things change.....

These pages are about me a city girl going to live in the bush with my Auntie and Uncle about 30 miles from a little place up in the mountains called Benambra.

There where things that happened there that change my live forever, I have included this in a letter for those who want to read it after I've gone but not before hand.  I know that is a bit strange but it is very private and for my Son only and if he wishes to share it with others he can.

I have been trying to up load photos from my new Nokia N9 and it has been a nightmare but it finally worked tonight so these photos are of my table space and how I out my double page layout for LOAD4, I really wanted share this journey with my friends but It all got a bit to much so I'm hoping I'll be on track and I only have 20 days to let you see what I have been doing.  What a joke, never mind but I hope you enjoy them.
The paper I used had this great sense of a farm house/shed  with a wind mill and tractors and stuff so I cut it out first and then pop dotted it on the the tree pages which I really liked. the first page is about the Brammall Family, this is my Dad's brother Cliff and his wife Marie and their four boys Richard, Peter, Kevin and Colin.
They lived about 3 miles away from the Lee Family which was my Dad's Sister Joyce and her husband Laurie and their four children Henry, Ann, Robert and Brett. This was the family I lived with in the early 1970s.  I was very happy with my layouts and had journaling tags coming out behind photos to tell different stories.

Catch up day.

I feel that I put a bit of pressure on myself with doing all the extra thing about LOAD but I'm ok today. I have been trying to leave comment on the flickr group but I don't seem to be getting very far as I like to look at all the layouts.  And I must say they are fantastic creative pages.  I have left comments on quite a lot but not everyone, so those I haven't great work keep up the brilliant job you are all doing.  I have been spending about 3 hours a night but it doesn't seem to be even and I start from the back so tonight I'm on about page 30 and have no idea how many pages they are now.  I also visit the discussion group to see how everyone is going, it's nice to be involved. And finally on go to Scrap Happy to see what is happening there.  So I feel as busy as a bee!

OK here goes LOAD3   Who I am NOW.

It was Friday night 3 Feb and I had a Crop Night to go to at All About Scrapbooking, so I decided to do my LOAD layout there, what a big mistake LOL.  It took me all night to do the one page and for me it was very strange as I normally do 4 to 5 page layouts.
I have no idea why it took me so long but maybe it was because I was chatting lots, laughing, eating, going shopping, moving my car, getting some fresh air and not being able to make a decision, but I got it DONE and that was the main thing.  My Scrapbooking friends all liked what I have done so far for LOAD so it was nice to get feedback from them.
I even forgot to take photos of my messy space never mind there was always tomorrow.
Now for the photo shoot what a nightmare, I think I took about 20 photos when I got home from the Crop so about 11:30pm and the were just horrible, I went to bed and thought about it most of the night how I could get the photos better.  So in the morning I moved my table around and here are the photos I ended up with.

The finish layout.

The journaling

Close up my cluster.

What A Funny Day....

Well my day started really good, on was the LOAD212 gallery pages and discussions calmly and slowly going through them when I got up from the computer chair when one of the legs broke off and frighten the you no what out of me. Oh bugger! Pat (hubby) had just been given the chair for Christmas by Damien (son) and Georgie(Daughter-in-law). So have to ring them to let them all know and see if we can get it replaced.
After that I continued going through the gallery and then went and watched Dani's video, it was just great here is her link if you would like to take a look she is doing it by video so it's lovely to see the real person. http://acoffeeaddict.com/2012/02/and-were-off-load-day-1/

Then later in the afternoon I ended up with a migraine, so took some panadol and off to bed.  I finally woke up at about 9pm head only fuzzie, but I need to get my email for LOAD2. I was so looking forward to getting it but now felt i was about 4 hours behind.  I do have a bad habit of giving myself a hard time.

Over to the emails I went and there it was, what did Lain have install for me today, I wondered.

Hmmmm favourite photo, there are so many which one should I do?  Then it dawn on me I have this great family photo of us taken back in around 1967 that's perfect.  Also there is a lot of meaning for me with this photo but I'll explain that in my page.  Well I go to my big green box of photos get out the enveloped mark 1967 and oh no it's not there all the others are. What have I done with it? Have I scrapped it? Where is it? I have no idea. No I have to find it, so I pull all the photo boxes out and within seconds my nice clean space looks like this.......  I felt ill just couldn't find this photo after search for about 2 hours.

Right it's time to pick other photo that I love and this is it.

Great this is perfect I had a great idea, well it didn't last very long as when I turned the photo over onto the back it had "Christmas Darts Party 1984".  I can do this got my Christmas papers out and then I remembered I could use one of the Christmas tags I received from the Scrap Happy Tag Swap perfect.  All the pieces were falling into place.  The Merry Christmas tag was from Sharon McDonald from Quincy MA USA. The tag suited my page perfectly thanks Sharon.  I love working with stripes and doing 3d so cut out the presents and the babbles and used 3d foam and put them on top of the matching design.

Picking Papers

My messy desk.

Taking photos of how the 3d looked on my page.  used the idea once again from the Nichol Magouirk: Taking Amazing Project Photos. They're not to bad just need more practise and I'm sure I will get better.  The title I used for this page is
"A Christmas Kiss."
My journaling reads:                                                          I was such a lucky mummy that my son Damien was not scared to show his affections. I hope as he grew into a loving young man he would still show this affection not just to me but to all who mean a great deal to him and he does..
Well that's another LOAD Day over, I'm sorry it's late, but I will do my best for LOAD3.

Ready, Set, Go.........LOAD 212 Begins!

Boy what a day! I didn't realise that I that I could start to Scrapbook
before the prompt email arrived. Thanks to Heather I started to do
some cutting for a farm page, which helped be relax  until the email
arrive from Lain at 4:42pm.  I was so excited, when I opened it up
and there it was the video with the page layout and the prompt.
Then it was time to get being creative.  I found an old photo of my 12th Birthday dinner, a totally different story came into my head. so I put that one aside and went with the new idea. I found my background paper and a pink   cardstock to mat my journalling and photo.
The I spent time on the computer typing up my story. Printed it out as well as a sub-title.  It didn't take me long to get my table in a mess.  LOL.  Bu t it was worth in the long run.
Find alphabet stickers that went with papers a few brads stick every down and it was done.  The next step was take some photos of the finished layout.  "You've Got Good Taste".
After watching the video Nichol Magourik: Taking Amazing Project Photos.  I spent sometime setting up a little photo shoot.

My journal reads:
For our birthday dinners, Mum would let us choose our favourite meal.
One year, I choose Homemade Veal Schnitzels and for my birthday cake it was a sponge filled fresh cream and strawberries.
Well, somehow Heidi our German Short-haired Point got the screen door open and before Mum could see what was going on Heidi had eaten all the schnitzels and half  of my birthday cake.

The last thing I had to do was upload it to my flickr file and then on the LOAD 212, well my mind went blank I couldn't remember how to upload to LOAD 212.
After having an anxiety attack and then calming down I finally remembered what to do.
I hope you have enjoyed my blog and my layout.  So LOAD 1 is finished.
